When Covid-19 Hits Me

 I got the booster vaccine on Monday, February 7, 2022. I got half the dose of Astra Zeneca. 

The side effects that I feel are drowsiness, pain in the arm after the injection, and fever at night. I think this is milder than the side effects when I got first and second Sinovac vaccines last year. 

But suddenly on the weekend after my morning run, I felt my throat getting uncomfortable. I think I just caught a cold. I still had lunch with my friends. That night, my cold got worse. I couldn't sleep well and always woke up after a few hours. 

Eat the food I ordered through Gofood and take the cold medicine and multivitamin that I have. I always have a multivitamin and paracetamol ready.

 

Monday morning February 14, 2022, I did an antigen test and it was reactive. Then I was referred for a PCR test. When I came home from the PCR test, my body felt very weak. All day I just eat, take medicine and sleep. I received the PCR results on Tuesday morning. I'm positive for Covid-19 with a CT value of 14.34. I immediately prepare for isolation at the hotel that has been appointed by my office.  I received many medicines and vitamins, including the anti-virus Favipiravir which is said to be able to be a Covid-19 drug.

This is the 3rd day of isolation at the hotel. Alhamdulillah I feel healthier, only the phlegm trapped in the throat is still bothering me. Hopefully on the 7th day, I will have no symptoms and my PCR result will be negative, aamiin.
